The AM preschool students have been working on a few different projects for Thanksgiving. We have been working on scissor skills to cut out objects and sort people and foods. Students have also been making different turkey themed projects such as a turkey that needs 4 feathers, water color painting turkeys, cutting colored paper to decorate turkeys, and Native American headbands with designs and feathers.
We learned the songs The Turkey is a Funny Bird and I am an Acorn this week. The teachers also read many Thanksgiving themed stories to the students.
The PM preschool students are also learning about Thanksgiving. We are practicing clapping out syllables and focused on Thanksgiving theme words this week such as: turkey, stuffing, cranberries, and corn. Matching numbers with sets of objects also helped practice cutting skills. The PM students also completed different turkey related activities, the hand-print turkey being a favorite. Many different Thanksgiving themed stories were also read this week such as: Thanksgiving Mice! and One Little, Two Little, Three Little Pilgrims.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
